South African producer Markus Wormstrom returns to Kompkat affiliated M=Maximal for his second full length LP on the Cologne imprint. He has previously crafted some serious electronic music for the OST of Cape Town thriller Four Corners, and here on Figure In Field he brings that cinematic lens once again. Tracks here are expertly produced – in the best Kompakt fashion- and styles range from obtuse, glitched micro-electronics to sublime neo-ambient, and wobbly dubstep variants.
