MYSTERIOUS ARTIST ALERT! This exceptional slab of murky industrial techno first surfaced through dirt-covered cracks way back in 2014, then disappeared. Nascent Berlin label Portals Edition have bowed to the pressure and serve it up –in handsome fashion- again for those who missed out first time. First two are from Shadah Tuum him/herself. ‘Merkabah’, frankly, is a frightening detonation of sub-pressure and strangled screams that may well break systems and brains the land over. "S-Ninyourhead” meanwhile takes the low-end deeper still and melts it into the drop-forge, where pounding kicks and rhythms crafted by Ancient Methods do battle with that same screaming devil. Also features a pair of crackling remixes from Dadub (Stroboscopic Artefacts) and man like Samuel Kerridge. The good stuff.
