French band Cabaret Contemporain reinterpret the music of incredible (though still criminally little-known) composer Moondog, playing ‘electronic’ music with prepared acoustic instruments including a piano, electric guitar, and drums. The album is led by the interwoven vocals of Swedish singers Linda Olah and Isabel Sörling, and feature covers of many of Moondog’s most renowned works, including a sparse version of ‘Enough About Human Rights’, a Warpaint-esque take on ‘All Is Loneliness’, and a discordant disco mix of ‘I’m Just A Hop Head’.
