Cititrax bring the Broken English body music onto lavish 160 gram splattered black and clear double vinyl for this debut album proper from Oliver Ho (otherwise known as Raudive). According to the man himself the Broken English maxim is “not about some idea of the future, it's about a grubbier seedier world”. Which sounds good to us. Strutting through the 11 tracks we are duly soiled by brittle post-punk rhythms, sternly throbbing EBM, abrasive industrial-vocal sneering and scowling grindcore racket(one track references a 1987 slab by Napalm Death). To quote Ho again “I like music with a sense of dread, there's drama or suspense in that feeling somewhere” Amen to that.
