AKASE is the pop-leaning project of producer Midland and multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Robbie Redway. Their debut album Graspers was produced alongside the esteemed Ewan Pearson and showcases the duo’s mixture of smoky textures, intricate rhythm programming, and soulful vocals. Despite the machine-made nature of their sound, there is an organic quality to AKASE’s music that comes from Redway’s raw vocal and the depth of Midland’s sound designs.
