Killer collection of nightmare inducing goth-grime tronics from Lotic on his crew's flagship imprint Janus, Agitations is Lotic's latest mixtape of OG productions and another further step into territories of club rooted sounds unknown. From start to finish this is pretty serious gear that pulls influences from various different mortal coils; be it surround-sound grime of cohorts like M.E.S.H. and Rabit or more big-room pop twisted into new forms at 6am focal points of Arca. The sound design is stellar and tracks glide through disorientating phases of oil black digital psychedelia like a shark exploring its territory while moving in for the kill, in this way it perfectly sets the tone for Lotic's eagerly awaited debut LP proper on Tri Angle early next year.
