Locked Groove’s third release on his eponymous label wastes no time in reaffirming his sound and his vision through two absolute stormers. End is more of a cinematic affair – gloomy synths, deep grooves and spine-tingling beat patterns that linger in the cerebrum. The follow-up lightens the tone a little, Scherzo is a more spirited track with fidgeting synth melodies and a blistering climax custom-built for main-room damage. The Belgian producer turns in perhaps his label’s most exciting contribution with this release.
