The music that influences Jack Gibbons aka Ipman is decidedly city-born – dubstep and rave music that can be heard in clubs, on soundsystems, and on pirate radio. Despite this, Gibbons resides in rural Herefordshire, indulging in isolation when creating his tracks. His debut album Depatterning, released via Pinch’s Tectonic label, is the product of two years spent experimenting with granular and modular synth technology, rewiring drum machines, and messing with hardware.
