Brooklyn-based producer Lord RAJA releases his second album for Ghostly International. Based on synth sounds recorded at Switched On, a famous music store in Austin, Texas, after he performed at SXSW, PARA is Lord RAJA’s most cohesive body of work to date. The album travels through dancefloor styles like garage and Jersey club, skittish hip hop beats, glitchy jungle rhythms, and straight-up soulful pop music, but as much as he plays with this diverse array of styles, the album remains anchored thanks to Lord RAJA’s immediately recognisable sound.
