Eric Copeland of Black Dice makes his second release for L.I.E.S. in the form of mini-album Jesus Freak. Made up of disfigured samples, scrappy loops, and abrasive tones, Jesus Freak is as all-over-the-place as you’d expect from Copeland – yet it’s also oddly listenable, with a strong focus on hooks and awkward grooves beneath all the audio chaos.
