After previous releases on Opal Tapes, NNA, Orange Milk and other labels, Phork drops Disappear In Raveland with Time No Place. Billed as “an ode to ritual and the language of dance music”, Disappear In Raveland packs together influences from the subterranean domains of house, techno, minimal and footwork for a light-headed weightless ride. The basic tropes on show here are rooted – as you might expect – in the land of rave and clubbing but the experimentalism and IDM attention-to-detail places this LP firmly in its own lane.
