Airbird is the alias of Joel Ford, who besides being a member of Young Ejecta and a prolific solo artist in his own right is perhaps still best known as one half of Ford & Lopatin (formerly Games) alongside Oneohtrix Point Never’s Daniel Lopatin. His sparring partner Napolian is Ian Evans, who has released hip hop-esque music through Software and co-produced the song ‘Guns & Synths’ for Kelela. Together they make uptempo electronic music. Their debut album Mr. Foolish collects their 2013 single ‘In The Zone’ (featuring Erika Spring of Au Revoir Simone) alongside a handful of new songs that recall scuzzy desert rock, Daft Punk, trip hop, and romantic synth pop.
