Shane Meadows’ award-winning drama series This Is England followed its protagonists through Manchester across a decade, with the 1990-set series playing against the backdrop of acid house hedonism. Naturally, the era offers a perfect soundtrack to accompany it: this official OST release includes Haçienda anthems by 808 State and Madchester classics by the Happy Mondays, the Stone Roses, and James. In addition, there’s new material from composer Ludovico Einaudi and UNKLE offshoot TOYDRUM, as well as a cover version of the Maytals’ hit ’54-46 (Was My Number)’ by London reggae artist Kiko Bun.
