Danish producer Erosion Flow builds on his Man Make Music success with a debut outing on Martyn’s respected 3024 imprint. Across the three cuts on the Spectrums Vol 1 EP it’s easy to sense the producer’s identity starting to solidify, with more gritty percussion work aligned with warm, boogie-inflicted touches. The A-side opens with the grainy, bubbling shuffle of ‘Da Heckler’, whilst ‘Gamma’ ramps up the tempo for a driving, 4/4 cut littered with melodic synth blops akin to some of Basic Soul Unit’s more full-on material. Meanwhile, B-side cut ‘Emeralds’ takes things a little darker with its glacial touches and strapping, robust drum suite.
