While T. Williams is best known for releasing garage-inflected house records on labels like PMR, Rinse, and Local Action, his roots are in grime: previously he was a member of Jon E Cash’s crew Black Ops, where he produced material under the name Dread D. The Siege EP marks both Williams’ return to the Dread D alias after almost a decade, as well as his return to Local Action. The EP brings together the energy of his older grime productions with the advanced production of his newer house tracks, sporting the humungous ‘Siege 1’ and its more peculiar counterpart ‘Seige 2’, as well the heavyweight ’10 Missed Calls’ and a reconfigured version of his 2005 belter ‘Time Command’.
