Delroy Edwards’ L.A. Club Resource label issues a four-part compilation of skewed house bangers. Leading the pack is Chicago house legend Gene Hunt, whose ‘Ow (Drum Beat)’ is by far the weirdest thing on here, with disembodied screams used as samples across its chugging beat. Wrecking Project’s offering is a tinny, spacey track called ‘S-Sonics’, while contributions from Blacktail and Innstyster are slightly more conventional tracks, both very rugged and designed to do a good job on the dancefloor.
