Guy Andrews has released weighty techno tracks on labels like Hotflush, Hemlock, and Pennyroyal, but on ‘In Autumn Arms’ he joins the family of Fabric sublabel Houndstooth, home to Call Super and Akkord amongst others. While Andrews’ tracks have always been textural and atmospheric, here his music takes on an even more cinematic and less dancefloor-focused quality. ‘In Autumn Arms’ precedes his 2016 debut album Open Spaces and is a melancholic, guitar-led track. On the b-side, ‘Let Your Shadow Decide’ is a stark and distorted piece of post-rock.
