Rod Modell, veteran dub/ambient techno artist and one half of Detroit duo Echospace, returns with a new Deepchord album. Ultraviolet Music is an expansive listen, a hallucinogenic trip of deep textures, rigid kicks, oceanic sub-bass, and stirring quasi-melodies. It’s long enough to properly immerse yourself in, spreading 160 minutes of music over two discs, with many of its tracks clocking in at the eight-minute mark.
