Lux Rec spin off MRT follows up that seminal Tuning Circuits sampler with another helping of distorted, DIY techno from Greek outfit Dream Weapons. Coming a year on from their impressive 2014 debut EP on Holger, this effort sees the trio at their most visceral, leading off with the post-apocalyptic lysergia of ‘Reach Dystopia’ before shifting to the daggering, muscle-bound, Front 242 evoking ‘Spiral Down’. Turning over, ‘Feed On Acid’ goes for a heady, more intoxicated sound with its droning undercurrent and paranoid, discordant synth bleeps reflecting the current political turmoil in the Greek capital.
