The third album from multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, composer, and former The Coral guitarist Bill Ryder-Jones is a set of breezy pop songs. Written in his childhood bedroom at his mother’s house in West Kirby, the record deals with many private and sometimes nostalgic themes. The album is defined by its lush songwriting, which is often very simple yet very satisfying, though there are darker moments as Ryder-Jones explores his past mental health issues and relationship breakdowns.
