PAN x Codes load up their second bout on their recently minted imprint with a roughshod collection of industrial battery from Chilean producer Kamixlo. The Demonico EP taints the artist’s native South American rhythm with the industrial grit of the UK-based producer’s South London home, starting from the shrouded claustrophobia of ‘Otra Noche’, through the remorseless mechanical bludgeoning of ‘Plaeta’ and ‘Splxcity’. Flipside, ‘Lariat’ whips up a grimy ‘floor frenzy from sparse bass depth charges, vocal chops and machine-gunned drums, whilst Visionist’s take on the same strips much of the weight out resulting in a lighter take with the same club-ready swing.
