The Mancunian musical savants at Finders Keepers completely blindside us once again with yet another long lost, unreleased and essentially forgotten collection of works by a mystery Italian library musician who goes by the pseudonym Lamartine. Recently discovered by pure accident during a basement digitising session by an independent music production company, the trail was followed and eventually ended with the name Odoardo Radicchi. Known previously for a pair of experimental stage and TV productions, Reportage sees the artist in full-throttled experimental mode, unhindered by the restraints of production music or the desire for commercial success; blending truly alien synthesised textures to primitive industrial rhythms coated in a slew of effects. With the whole worth more than the sum of its parts, Reportage adds another essential release to the canon of early Italian electronic music that has left its mark on the future of electronic music.
