Austere Berlin/London techno imprint Avian (run by Shifted and ventress) returns with this startling examination into skeletal modular electronics from the shadowy figure of Litüus. Or as his birth name has it, Connor Camburn. 19805.-_19905, marks him out as an exciting new name round these parts of frozen electronics; head-down, bobbing in front of racks and cables and delay units. This is reconfigured Delian Workshop music made with contemporary analogue machinery and beautifully sequenced to create a soundtrack of hushed and frightening ambience, pummelling technoid groan; flexed for those heads into label-mates Sigha, Mannerfelt, or Surgeon’s recent Buchla experiments. The words ‘Mastered by Matt Colton at Alchemy, London’ should also add further weight, if needed.
