Björk’s ninth album Vulnicura was a collision of futuristic electronic production and traditional string arrangements. This beautiful new version of the album is comprised entirely of Björk’s strings and her voice. Besides featuring new violin solos by Una Sveinbjarnardóttir, the album additionally features the world’s only viola organista (an instrument combining aspects of a violin and organ, originally designed by Leonardo da Vinci but never built during his lifetime), used on a version of ‘Black Lake’.
