Bristol grime label Crazylegs tap local producer Ziro for the Lionheart EP. Ziro was the first artist to release on Crazylegs back in 2012, although since then he’s only made a handful of other releases, notably a 2014 collaboration with Trim called ‘Lost’. The Lionheart EP opens with its title track, an earthquake of UK funky-styled percussion and arpeggiating synths that builds to a huge trance release. ‘Dun Talk’ continues the trance motifs while adding a vocal from MC Riko Dan, while ‘Distance’ is a heartstring-tugging piece of grime-influenced ambient music. Rounding off the package is an apocalyptic grime track called, fittingly, ‘Rapture’.
