Experimental psych/noise/krautrock group Teeth of the Sea return with their fourth album on Rocket Recordings. Highly Deadly Black Tarantula is an album that balances gritty, lo-fi sounds and ornate, hi-fi sounds with ease. Check opening track ‘All My Venom’, where a punishing, distorted drumbeat is matched with cinematic atmospheres. Electronic sounds and rhythms seem to play an even larger role than ever before, inspired the industrial drive of Throbbing Gristle, the motorik grooves of Can, and the frantic percussion of Chicago house music.
