With South African born London producer Gervase Gordon, Dumella 113 is the debut EP for Hyperdub from Okzharp. In some ways, this is an even more futuristic strand of the house and techno explosion that has happened in South Africa. Fittingly finding a home on Hyperdub, Gordon clashes left-field mutations of house and minimal-wave dubstep with the varied and indefinable realms of afrofuturism from Capetown and Johannesburg. With vocal contributions from Manthe Ribane, this introduction to Okzharp is a brilliant addition to the Hyperdub shelves.
