Rotterdam’s D-Ribeiro dishes up four cuts of soul-laced dance floor heat on his 4 Lux debut with the What’s Up Girl EP. A-side gets down to the business with the stomping, funked-out title cut with its catchy vocal loop, followed by the hazy, muffled bass swing of ‘Tao (Yang)’. Flipping over, ‘Donut Breakin’ lets the bright synth melodies loose, developing into a jubilant, loop-driven piece that’ll set the ‘floor alight, whilst closing number ‘Love Gate’ ups the tempo for a filter-heavy groove that’s sure to get everyone on their feet.
