Following on from their incredible School Daze compilation, Dark Entries return with another sizzling suite of visionary electronic gay porn soundtracks from the grand lord of Hi-NRG, Patrick Cowley. These instrumental recordings, again excavated from the vaults of famed vintage gay porn institution Fox Studios, flaunts three different styles of Cowley’s pioneering use of electronics. The opening part comprises of more ambient, leftfield styles, such as the clumsy primordial drums of ‘Cat’s Eye’ and the hallucinatory Amazonian expanse of ‘The Jungle Dream’, before moving onto the livelier wah-wah funk of ‘Pig Foot’ and ‘5Oz Of Funk’. Finally, Cowley casts his gaze outwards and takes us interstellar with a collection of freeform, cosmic synth expeditions; starting with the mechanical malfunctions of ‘Uhura’, through the gyrating didgeridoo drones of ‘Timelink’ and finally the Schulzeian mind expansion of ‘Mockingbird Dream 2’.
