Max McFerren has released on Vancouver label 1080p under his anything-goes MCFERRDOG alias before, but this is his first time releasing on the label under his birth name. It’s also the first time that 1080p have released music on vinyl, so this 12” is one to be cherished. The EP features four tracks of weirdo house music and braindead machine funk, and they’re all a lot more fun than what your run-of-the-mill house producer might come up with: ‘Sipps’ whirrs and whistles like a synthesizer on its last legs, while ‘Ya Bad Sister’ rides along on a chunky break and has some truly twisted vocal sampling.
