Tresor welcomes Chinese producer Shao Yanpeng to their roster. Sensei wastes no time taking us straight into a world of spirited synth work and slow, brooding builds. The theatrical, bubbling techno continues with the Reflection two-parter as SHAO’s textured atmospherics swoop in and out of earshot behind a swell of airy hi-hats and sustained snares. While short, this release is a concise and effective introduction to SHAO’s sound. An exciting addition to the Tresor lineup.
