There can be fewer more fevered, prolific minds in electronic music than German in Cuba, Uwe Schmidt aka (amongst others) Atom TM. More reason than most, then, to engage with this obscure release from 1995 – given the fresh digi makeover for a whole new crew of heads. Schmidt was streets ahead of the competition here: whirling IDM micro-techno feeds into a heady brew of skewed sample-pop, blitzed dub experiments, French Da Funk house (he heavily samples the French duo), and acid-boogie deviance always referencing his Senor Coconut guise, but always in a different fashion….
