Match made in heaven, here. Flanger are German multi-percussion maestro Burnt Friedmann (long-term founder of label, Nonplace) and fellow German, electronic musician now living in Santiago de Chile, who records under an myriad number of aliases, most recognisably Atom TM. The pair haven’t collaborated officially for nearly a decade and ‘Sweet Silence / Spin’ represents the teaser single in advance of their highly anticipated October album, the wonderfully named, Lollopy Dripper. We’re in a wonderfully strange place. A back-street bar in Dusseldorf where a pair of moustachioed oddballs play freaked out bittersweet jazz music, compressed and squashed and made more beautiful by two fevered creative minds.
