White Boiz is a collaboration between rapper Krondon (of Strong Arm Steady) and producer Shafiq Husayn (of leftfield hip hop trio Sa-Ra Creative Partners). Formed out of deep conversations about race and blackness in white America, their album Neighborhood Wonderful tells stories of single motherhood, drug addiction, wrongful conviction and beyond, but with a sense of positivity, spirituality, and even optimism at the end of it. Billed by the duo as somewhere between Louis Farrakhan and Flying Lotus, the album features guest spots from The Stepkids, Thundercat, and Anderson Paak (who notably appeared on Dr. Dre’s Compton) amongst others.
