The Optimo boys (JD Twitch and JG Wilkes) and their label(s) continue to confound and excite expectation this year, 2015. Following a stellar roll-call of joints (old and new) from Sex Judas, Junto Club, Boot&Tax and Golden Teacher, here they enlist the help of electronic music duo from New York City (via Australia), The Golden Filter. The band consists of Penelope Trappes and Stephen Hindman and have previous on Dummy Records, Brille and Vinyl Factory. For their debut 12” on Optimo we find the pair in full swagger; dialling down hypnotic electroid rhythms and luxuriant mini-techno-epics, occasionally caressed by Trappes’ sultry vocal.
