Hip Hop & Electronic music label born in Sheffield, Bad Taste Records launch off another dazzling exercise in hyper-colour beats and bass from South east London’s Walter Ego 2020Vision / MadTech / Symbols / UTTU). Taking the sub-bass dynamics of UK Grime and Garage, Ego melts these elements into some serious digi-abuse. Radio Bits proves Walter Ego is adept at programming percussion; across these four joints there’s a real sense of riddim’ adventure in the woodblock syncopations and detuned toms leaving the doors gaping for a prime MC to tear some flow into its core and wobble some club-walls.
