Amazing compilation of rare scratchy DIY post punk tunes. Taken from a truly stellar crop of British 7” releases from ’78 - ’82, this collection – overseen by JD Twitch of Optimo – captures a genuine taste of the creative and artistic spirit of that fruitful era. This is more of a reflection of post-punk as an ethos rather than post-punk as a genre. As reflected in Optimo DJ sets, JD Twitch isn’t one to hold ideas of genre or pigeonholing in too high a regard, this is an eye-opening presentation of some obscure but brilliant finds.
