Georg Conrad & Marius Bubat’s Coma project launch off their campaign for forthcoming October album This Side of Paradise with this luxuriant single, ‘Lora’. It finds the pair in rich form giving us a shuffling dream-pop drama like the kind Cut Copy used to make or the pristine 80s revivalism of the latest Tame Impala. On the refix plate, Coma call in favours from two European heavyweights: Pional and Robag Wruhme. The latter (with big experience on Kompakt, Pampa and Sonar Kollektiv) turns out some solidly produced refinements where Pional (Hivern Discs) takes the ‘Lora’ vocal and wraps in a sugar-rush of hyper melodic synth.
