Rough Trade present this critically adored debut from Irish outfit Girl Band. Recorded in their native Dublin, the debut follows a stellar run of EPs and single releases and extensive touring which introduced the masses to their clued up brand of noise. While they have managed to incorporate influences from the worlds of post-punk, industrial noise and even minimalist techno – Girl Band have pinned down a sound on Hands With Jamie that is wholly their own beast. From the abrasive power of Baloo to the tragic expressionism of Paul, Girl Band have very much arrived on this fiery debut.
