JD Twitch’s Optimo Trax draws artists from four cities for the sixteenth installment of this always-interesting imprint. Representing Glasgow, local DJ Beta presents his debut release with an emotionally-wrought, ram-shackling piece of sentimentality in ‘Endless Plains’ – perfect for the end of the night, whilst Love's Flaccid Disco Muscle put the xylophone to use on the delightfully odd ‘3am At The Aqua Disco’. On the other side, New York’s Alex Burkat steps up with the eyes-down, disco loops of ‘Culture Full Circle’, leading into the squirming, dub-driven bleep n’ bass hybrid of ‘Ghost Seducer’ from Modini (aka Neil Landstrumm and Alan Parley).
