Techno producer Marco Bernardi debuts on Berceuse Heroique with a lush fifteen minute epic in the vein of classic Carl Craig, backed with a pipe bomb style remix from Specter. Following recent efforts for Mathematics, Brokntoys, The Dancing Clowns sees the Glaswegian opt for a hypnotic ambience, layering mesmerising patterns of hardware material: the original stands out on account of its dynamic cymbal work, luring you into its densely woven net of captivating rhythms, only revealing its pumping kick drum pulse once you’re fully immersed, and taking you to whole new levels of shuffling synth sequences towards the end of the journey. Specter goes in heavy with ruffian synth notes in his rework, but highly respects the effects of long form hypnosis.
