Veteran British techno operator Mark Broom returns to the frontline with this hugely significant release on Robert Hood’s M-Plant label. Important why, I hear you cry? Well, the Detroit techno-overlord has not invited another name –other than himself- to the label for sixteen long years. It speaks cavernous, warehouse sized volumes about the position Broom finds himself in that he’s been invited onto M-Plant wax. With previous on Blueprint, Edit Select and Arts through to a single Skam, records with James Ruskin as The Fear Ratio, Mark Broom has been active since the 90s – at the top of the techno game. Lead joint “Stunned” originally appeared on a 1997 release by Broom and his long time studio partner Dave Hill, on their Pure Plastic label. Broom has gone back into the track and delivered a revision, while the flip sees him lace up a malevolent –yet funky- growler tuned up for the Minimal Nation.
