One of the most exciting exponents of forward-bound instrumental Grime returns to his Gobstopper mouth (following a well received LP on Planet Mu) for this sizzling new remix EP featuring three versions of his 2014 joint, ‘The Man Waits’. Mr Mitch, Boxed London resident, signs up a trio of contemporaries here, all with their brain-frame firmly plugged into distantly futuristic sonic-lands. First up is a familiar Bleep name (and fellow Boxed crew) Logos, who strips the Grime rhythm into a dread-filled beatless whisper. Next, is Crazylegs producer Gage who ratchets up the heat in a torrent of wild sirens and breaks before giving way to Leeds-based Gobstopper alumni Iglew. FIRE!, as the kids say…
