It’s hard to believe that it has been a decade since Detroit wunderkind Jimmy Edgar first burst onto the electronic landscape with his steaming, electro double header for Warp (Bounce, Make Model and Color Strip) here he is in 2015 with a high-gloss EP of stylish groove modelling released via the label founded by Edgar, artist Pilar Zeta and Travis Stewart (Machinedrum) in 2013, Ultramajic Records. The five-tracks here take in futurist Dance Mania variations (‘Tik Tok’) sleazy Acid-R&B-bump ‘Feel What It Is’ and insistent Drexciyan electro with the opener ‘Let Me Tell You’. Motor City Machine music par excellence.
