Venezuelan-born, Barcelona based DJ, producer and Red Bull Music Academy alumni Cardopusher lands on Boysnoize Records with his bruising new full length entitled Manipulator. The piece is a melting pot of early rave sounds, acid house, electro and EBM / industrial flavours, all underpinned by a heavily analogue inspired production suite. Getting straight down to business, opener ‘Exceptions’ leads off with a direct 4/4 pound with a rough warehouse-ready synth mutation up top, followed by backwards compatible breaks on ‘Morning Traffic Dance’ and druggy acid deviations with ‘Dance To The Acid H’. Continuing to pay home to the old school, ‘Jumpforce’ references the classic rave siren stab found in the works of Black Riot or Maurice’s legendary ‘This Is Acid’, whilst ‘Xerox’ utilises the pan-pipes of the South American’s homeland together with a deluge of 808 drums for a deadly clash of worlds.
