Riding a wave this September with a heavyweight Electronics Explorations mix, Manchester-born producer Alex Coulton is back on wax for his second Tempa transmission following 2015’s Recall / Wiretap 12”. Much respected amongst his peers Coulton has previous heat on labels like All Caps, Black Acre, Mistry and Idle Hands and it’s the latter imprint –and its sonic map- which Coulton plugs into here. Expect a double barrage of tough, dry percussive drive and dubbed out Shackelton riddims (‘Hand to Hand Combat’) and skanking, propulsive techno on the Hodge, Peverelist tip.
