WNCL recordings celebrates five years in the business by inviting Toronto-based producer Kevin McPhee back to their stable with the TW EP. The Tommy Wright sampling title cut ‘TW’ sees the producer deliver an unashamed club grenade, with its reduced yet tough drum suite nodding to DJ Deeon and the seminal Dance Mania sound, in addition to the acapella for those selectors looking for mixing tools. Label head West Norwood Cassette Library picks up remix duties on the flip, changing things up completely with a cut n’ paste college of lively drum breaks and breezy summer soul, whilst the ‘C.E.O’ remix pushes everything into the red with the kind of overdrive you’d find on one of AnD’s brutal excursions.
