Kieran Hebden revives his Percussions moniker for this delicious side of bubbling Reichean minimalism – tuned for the dancefloor. We first saw Hebden on Percussions duty with a series of super-limited 12”s (later appearing on a digital collection, 2011 Until 2014) and here he returns with a one-off track that has been surfacing across his DJ sets for some time. ‘Digital Arpeggios’ is a ripe title. The first minutes, our ears are washed in wave on wave undulating Emeralds-inspired synth arp noise - the drop anticipation never far away. And when it arrives in a clipped 4/4 shuffle -redolent of his partner in wax, Floating Points- you know you are onto a winner. The Hebden renaissance shows little sign of slowing up… a good thing.
