Rinse present the debut album from East London grime producer Faze Miyake. Arriving four years on from his breakthrough instrumental ‘Take Off’, it’s a high concept, high definition album that mixes the rattle and swagger of US rap music with UK grime styles. Though most of the album is given over to Faze Miyake’s instrumentals, he does bring in a diverse array of guest stars, crossing oceans and genres in the process. UK rapper Little Simz appears on ‘The Nest’, in contrast to Chicago’s Sasha Go Hard on ‘Below Me’. Meanwhile, members of Faze Miyake’s own Family Tree collective MC over ‘None Of That Stuff’, a striking difference compared to the presence of cult icon Inga Copeland on ‘Ice Cold’.
