Bristol’s Emptyset are regular fixtures of the experimental and techno scenes today, but back when their debut album came out in 2009, they were still shrouded in mystery. The self-titled record sees James Ginzberg and Paul Purgas explore minimal techno and experimental industrial music, taking booming sub-basslines as their starting point and constructing electronic sound sculptures inspired by the likes of M-Plant, Sahko, and Chain Reaction around it.
